| This was mine xD - Yay for gifts:
A Shitennou Christmas A young blonde man stood outside the Minshuku Kasumi trying to stay warm as he cleared the snow from the entrance. Winter had descended on Ainokura Village and despite being a remote location, there were plenty of visitors. When he had finished, he laid shovel against the wall next to the door and kicked the snow off of his shoes before entering the building. Minshuku Kasumi has been in the Kasumi family for three decades and was now in the hands of the 25-year-old grandson. “Jadeite!” The blond man turned to see Kasumi Koichi. Koichi was a tall man, who wore his black hair long to his shoulders and wore a diamond earring in his left ear much to the chagrin of his parents. “Kasumi-san.” Jadeite nodded to his boss. “It is late, we can handle everything here. Please it is Christmas Eve, go home.” Koichi smiled. “Thank you.” Jadeite returned his smile. “Oh before you go, Ayako!” Koichi called for his younger sister. A few moments later, a young woman, her long black hair falling behind her back in a single braid, wearing a purple floral kimono, came from the kitchen carrying four bags. Ayako was the family accountant and lawyer. Ayako was an extremely bright girl having graduated from Keio University at the age of 17. “Our uncle has prepared meals for you and your companions.” Ayako smiled. “There is oyakodon, sashimi, miso soup, green salad, anpan, ikura and karumeyaki.” “This is too much!” Jadeite exclaimed taken aback of his boss’s kindness. “It is the least we can do. We know you do not have any family.” Koichi replied. “Thank you.” Jadeite bowed to Koichi and Ayako before leaving. The snow had begun to fall harder as Jadeite made his way home. A year ago, he and his companions, Nephrite, Zoisite and Kunzite woke is this village. They were found asleep in the center of the village. The villagers took them in and brought them to the local doctor. They were given food and clean clothes. When asked who they were and where they came from, they answer they could give was their names. Villagers told them of the ascension of Queen Neo Serenity and Crystal Tokyo. The four companions were given a home, once belonging to another family that had left the village years ago. Once they had settled they found jobs around the village and started to rebuild their lives. They still wanted to learn about their past. In the early stages, they thought about seeking the Queen directly, but there was a nagging feeling that kept them away. Jadeite was halfway home when he noticed a young woman sitting on the side of road with no jacket or shoes. After pausing for a moment, he approached the young woman. “Are you ok?” He asked. The young woman looked up at him and smiled. “Yes, I am perfectly alright.” Jadeite looked towards the direction of the house. He was already late and he knew that the others would be hungry. “Do you anywhere to go...um” “Addy.” The girl smiled. “Addy, we have plenty of food and a warm home. You shouldn’t be out here in the cold all alone, would you please join me?” Addy stood up and brushed the snow off of her. “Lead the way.” She smiled. Jadeite and Addy continued down the path until the reached the last house on the right. The lights were on and they were halfway to the door when it opened. Kunzite stood in the doorway, arms folded. “While we understand that you have job where you work an undeterminable number of hours but when we receive a call wishing us a Merry Christmas and hopes that we enjoy the food that was prepared for us, we expect that the one bringing the food would be here on time. We all have worked long hours today and are hungry.” Jadeite stared at Kunzite’s deadpan expression before cracking a smile. “I met a new acquaintance on my way home.” Jadeite nodded towards Addy. “I see that.” Kunzite’s gaze turned towards Addy. “No reason to keep standing out here. Nephrite and Zoisite are arguing over the last piece of bread.” Kunzite finally smiled and went back in the house. Addy and Jadeite followed him. They found Nephrite and Zoisite sitting at the dining room table. Jadeite set the bags on the table. “At last.” Zoisite stood up and started to the containers of food out of the bags. “Everyone, this is Addy. I have invited her to join us for dinner.” “It is fortunate that Jadeite came across you.” Nephrite commented. “It was not fortune, Nephrite that led me too all you.” Addy smiled as she sat at the table. Nephrite, Zoisite, Kunzite and Jadeite exchanged glances. “How do you know my name?” Nephrite finally spoke. “Please.” Addy motioned for them to sit down. Once they were settled and the food was passed around, she continued. “I know all of you. Who you are, who you were and who you will be.” Addy smiled. “Who are you really?” Kunzite asked. “That is quite the question actually.” Addy smiled. “I have been called many things, my true name being from a language long since gone. I have watched the universe grow from just a speck in the darkness, to the community of so many different civilizations, living in and out of harmony with one another.” “Can you tell us about our past?” Zoisite asked with a hint of desperation in his voice. “Yes, of course. Be warned, what I tell you may be difficult to hear.” Addy replied. The four friends looked at each other. They had so many questions and this whole that was in their mind was more than they could bear. “Whatever it is, we need to hear it.” Kunzite said. “Very well.” Addy said. Before they realized what was happening the four friends were in what looks like to be a throne room. There was a tall man with black hair stood before them. “I remember that face.” Zoisite frowned. “As do I.” Jadeite added. They watched as the dark haired man met with a young blonde woman. “She is…familiar.” Kunzite’s eyes narrowed. “Wait… that is!” Nephrite started to walk towards the woman. Nephrite barely went two steps before they were thrown in a middle of battle. The four companions watched in horror as they stood on the front line of battle. They were standing side by side with a red haired woman. They saw faces of those who they once called friend. Faces that was horrified, angry, sad and disappointed. One by one the four friends realized what they have done. “I remember….” Kunzite said. “We were once the proud generals and protectors of Earth.” Nephrite added. “We were loyal to the prince.” Zoisite continued. “How could we have thrown away everything for that evil sorceress.” Jadeite asked. Before anyone else could answer, the four friends were standing on the moon looking at the remnants of the Moon Kingdom and those who defended it to the end. “Is this what our actions led to?” Zoisite asked. “Those brave girls…they what we could not.” Jadeite commented. “They did what we should have. Our job was to protect the prince not turn on him and lead his death.” Nephrite sighed. “What point are you trying to prove by showing us this!” Kunzite angrily turned to Addy. “I told you it was not going to be easy.” Addy replied quietly. “From what you have shown us of what we were, how would you expect us to react? All this death and destructions caused by our actions and yet here we are reborn. Is this our fate? To live out our days, tormented by the guilt of what we had done? To never know peace?” Kunzite bellowed. “Do we truly deserve peace?” Zoisite spoke up. “Look around you. Is this how we want to be remembered? We have a chance to make things right. I for one welcome the chance, no matter how painful it will be.” “How can we go back from this?” Nephrite muttered. “This can not be the end, I can not accept this.” Jadeite approached Addy. “The prince told us, when we first came to be in his service, that no matter how dark things may get there is always a glimmer of hope. As long as we hold onto that, everything else will fall into place. I want to believe his words. This can’t be how things end. If we could go back and change things, we would.” “There is one last thing I want to show you.” Addy said. “No, more. I have seen enough.” Kunzite sighed the dejection ringing through his voice. The four companions found themselves standing in the streets of Crystal Tokyo. The streets were filled with happy shoppers rushing around, trying to get their last minute shopping down. “Why here?” Nephrite asked. “Just wait.” Addy smiled. A large group of people exited a store and started to walk down the sidewalk. “I think they gave you my drink Rei.” Makoto said. “Actually, I think this is Minako’s.” Rei wrinkled her nose. “They were probably thrown off by an unexpected visit from the Queen and King.” Minako smiled. “They did seem to be befuddled.” Ami mused. The four friends watched as the group continued down the street. “How is this possible?” Kunzite whispered. “They survived….somehow they all survived.” Nephrite added. “How are they…” Jadeite turned to Addy but she was nowhere to be seen. “Perhaps this is a chance for a new life for us.” Zoisite said. “Should we talk to them?” Jadeite asked. “No…” Kunzite said after a moment. “It is time we moved on. Perhaps some day our paths will cross again but for now, leave them be. It is enough knowing that they are alive.” The four friends started the journey back home. Christmas was a time of miracles and this year for the Shitennou finally found their peace.

| My Secret Santa got me a great gift, partially because I didn't have one of these already and partially because I'm such a big fan of hers. |
