Any fans of Legend of Korra???? For those who don't know it's the sequel of Avatar the Last Airbender. By the way this thread is for LOK discussion only!
I am a big fan of LOK. I love seeing the Avatar world becoming modernize! Yes there are some big flaws with Book 1, but hey they were only given 12 episodes! But I guess that's not excuse either. Regardless I still love it despite its flaws.
Book 2 is out! I have a feeling everything will be pace better and Korra will finally get some development judging by the first two episodes. Thoughts??? By the way beware of spoilers people!

I put it all under the spoiler cut in case there are some forum members who have not watched LOK yet.
LOK Book 3 Trailer and My Thoughts:
Book 3 Trailer.
Personally Book 3 seems more promising than Book 1 & Book 2 so far. However, I’m still highly reserved about it. As long as they keep to focus off of petty romance and on the characters, I’ll probably appreciated Book 3 more.
Some speculation I have is that, that's Lin's sister (I haven't be keeping up with any Korra news to know if that was announced or not). Though I very curious how they're going to explain about the other Airbenders seen in the trailer. My only assumption is that there were a few other Air Nomads who survived the genocide and carried on the legacy in secret.

Book 2 was not the best. That's why I'm so hesitant over Book 3.

Yeah I stopped watching right after Mako and Korra broke up which is dumb anyways. But the real reason I stopped I missed the next episode and I didn't bother to caught up with the season.
Sighs. Korra has so much potential. Why are they ruining it?

My biggest issue is Mako in general. They wrote to be this grand hero when a lot of the things he did was undeserving in reality versus what the writer's want. Personally, LOK needs to lay off the romance (let it be secondary to everything else like in ATLA) and don't focus on Mako so much. Also Korra needs to grow up. I still haven't seen her mature at all based around everything that had happened in Book 1 and 2.

It really does come down to the romance. I feel like the writers are trying to appease the fans because in ATLA the fans were ship crazy and demand to know who Katara would end up with.
ATLA was great because the characters grew with the plot and the romance was on the back burner. LOK needs this big time.
I will say this I thought Bolin and Korra's cousin were funny. The poor guy can't get a break. In reality I would probably date Bolin. He is such a sweetie.

if you guys are angry about the whole mako/korra thing, you might not like the ending of book 3. saw a fair chunk of it, along with the ending episode...and...while i'm happy they went in that direction, it feels kind of forced and lazy to me. didn't see much hints of it...
also small spoiler....
spoiler:
WE GET TO SEE TOPH!! and damn, she has NOT changed at all! XD i love this woman.

Actually huge fans of Mako/Korra aren't going to like Book 4 finale. If you haven't already heard about it since it's made the mainstream news xD

I had only hope an ending like that would happen and never expected it to, for me it didn't seem out of the blue at all because there were a lot of subtle signs of it potentially happening all season and throughout Book 3 as well. I would have been heavily disappointed if they did all those subtle hints and then didn't go through with that ending because it shows their growth and their interactions made even more sense without it being a tease to some of the fans cheering for that kind of ending.
Besides what happened in the Book 3 finale, I had a small feeling and glimmer of hope of the series finale ending that way because Korra was pulled off the air and put online.
