The Pokemon Company has announced remakes of Ruby/Sapphire for worldwide release in November 2014. The titles promise to take trainers through a dramatic story within a spectacular new world. Also, the boxes feature strange cosmetic alterations for Groudon and Kyogre.
OMG I AM SO EXCITED! R/S/E was my favourite generation and I want my Swampert again! Although I'm not sure if this new world means the games will take place in Hoenn or not. OMG OMG OMG

I'm 'meh' about it. I'll still be buying one or both of them just to continue playing, but Gen III was actually my least favorite Gen until Gen V came out. Gen V is my least favorite now.
I'm pretty sure it'll be in Hoenn still only heavily modified.

Awesome! It's great to see gen 3 being remade. I did enjoy playing that game as a kid. It's the reason I got a GBA SP. A lot good pokemon came out of gen 3. Gen 4 is my least favorite.
My list: 1. Gen 2 2. Gen 6 3. Gen 3 4. Gen 5 5. Gen 1 6. Gen 4
My reasoning is based on the layout of the land. Gen 4 makes you backtrack a lot. Gen 3 does too, but the pokemon make up for it. Unlike in gen 4. >.>
Going off topic. XD

I get to use Mega Swampert!
Also, this was mentioned elsewhere but it doesn't make any sense as to out of all the mega evolutions, why Steven has a Mega Charizard X. It's just not a pokemon that reminds me about Steven.

Same here! It's so much fun. I also hope we can sit on our furniture in our super secret bases.

My wishes for the remakes:
Wally plays a larger role in the story. The same goes for your other rival and that they evolve their starer pokemon all the way. The Trick House has all new puzzles and don't use any HM moves. -_-

I agree that the rival needs to have a larger role in the story, he just felt incomplete and mostly unnecessary compared to the others (the only really useful thing he did was give you Fly).

Looks like contests are getting an over haul!! I really hope this means it will be a battle like in the anime.

The new games are out!! Who has them? I got Alpha because I love Team Aqua. I am enjoying the games, but I wished they used the trainers' Emerald teams in these remakes. I feel like Emerald is a bit harder than Ruby and Sapphire.
