Thank you to everyone for reading this thread. I wanted to bring up an idea I had for a pokemon fan game, that would be created with a program called Pokémon Essentials. Essentials provides scripting and other data to be put into the game maker, RPGXP (which I've downloaded the trial and feel comfortable with what I've seen so far, all I have to do is pay for it soon.) 
 
The idea for the game still follows the beat the 8 gym leaders, defeat the evil antagonists, conquer the pokemon league, etc., however what I wanted to do is base the region and plot on mythology, since there are plenty of mythological creature ideas that could be used to create great new pokemon. I will also be including a large number of the 718 current pokemon (random examples are Furret, Bronzong and Galvantua), but not all of them to save on space. And yes, I do want to base a few of the new pokemon on enemies from the Legend Of Zelda series, because LOZ is awesome and I've been a fan for years. Those pokemon will obviously have different names then the LOZ enemies they're based on. I'll come up with what different features/sidequests I want as I go along with this.
 
Here's what I need however.
 
- Pokémon ideas. If there's a certain mythological creature (could be anything) or even a LOZ enemy you would really want to see as a pokemon, then feel free to suggest it.
- Character applications. I am offering some of the in-game characters to be based off of members on GC ( some of the characters consisting of gym leaders/elite four members/rivals/evil team members/professor/etc.) I've asked a few people already and they wouldn't mind having a character based off them in the game.
- Beta testers. I plan on releasing a demo every time I complete the game up to a gym leader, so I would appreciate a beta tester or two to test the game before it's publicly released.
- Anyone who has experience with RPGXP. If there's anyone who has used RPGXP before and wants to help if needed, then feel free to mention that.
- Anything else that comes up.

Currently I have the canon section of the pokedex done (requests are still doable if there's a previous gen pokemon you really want to see, one evolutionary family for each member), and two of the gyms will be fairy and fire type (there hasn't been a fire-type gym since gen-3).

Pokemon Ideas: 
The Four Gods (Suzaku, Genbu, Byakko, and Seiryuu) (Legendary Pokemon?)
The Planetary Gods (Mercury, Mars, Venus, etc.) [Sort of like Eeveelutions?]

What would you need for the character applications? Because I'd like a character who is like the reporter and her cameraman from Gen 3. Every time you run into the character you battle them and get featured in their news in some form.

I'd also like to be a beta tester!

And if you need help with illustrations, I'd like to volunteer.

As for Zelda you could totally do Din, Nayru, and Farore as pokemon. They would work as Legendary pokemon.

Yeah, that would work since in Gen 4 there were the Regi Legendaries and the 3 Version Legendaries as well!

-I also want to now do a pokemon that can evolve into human like creatures that resemble the Sailor Senshi, but I don't know what the pre-evolution should be.
-I AM SO DOING DIN, NAYRU AND FARORE AS LEGENDARY POKEMON  (Probably on the same rank as say the Regi trio)!


- As far as character applications, just name, appearance and role is required, I'll have to see if I can do the cameraperson script like from Gen 3.
- You both can be beta testers. ^^

Update: I'm deciding on what pokemon will be catchable/battleable up to the first gym, then I'll work on the maps, scripting and in-game pokedex.

I was thinking of 'my character' being a pokemon artist who is around the map like the cameraperson and sketches the MC's leading Pokemon after every battle for gallery space in the post-E4 setting or something like that.

Assuming that's not way out there for the future.

Also planning on adding shadow pokemon (originally from Colosseum and XD: Gale Of Darkness) since the program allows it. Someone on GC is trying out concept art for one of the new pokemon so I can't wait to see what it looks like. ^^
