General Information
Name: Ami Mizuno
Age: 16
Gender: female
Birthday: 10th September
Appearance
Ami has short, dark blue hair. She usually dresses rather conservatively, preferring to show less skin. She usually includes a skirt or dress in her outfit, preferring those over shorts and pants. Other than that, she wears a variety of clothes, from casual style to semi-formal. Her outfit often features blue, as it is her favorite color. Though she usually keeps her feminine accessories down to just a pair of dark blue stud earrings.
When going to a formal event, however, Ami will wear an appropriate outfit for the occasion. This usually consists of a formal dress, earrings (often other than her normal dark blue studs), a formal necklace, and high-heeled shoes or sandals.
Personality
Ami loves to be with her close friends (the other inner senshi girls). She is always willing to help them, whether that be by acting like a tutor in their group study sessions or discussing what to do about the latest senshi enemy or anything in between. Even towards other people, she is typically friendly and wanting to be helpful; about the only exceptions are when someone has attacked her or one of her friends - in which case, she will usually use her intelligence to come up with a strategy to defeat them. She is always very modest, though, preferring to downplay her abilities, and becoming quite embarrassed when she comes out on top in anything not like a school test.
History Until she transferred to Juuban Jr. High early in her second year of junior high school (at the age of 14), Ami was like the stereotypical bookworm - she had few friends and spent most of her spare time studying. This changed when Usagi befriended her one day while she was walking home from school. Ami showed Usagi that she is actually quite friendly when given the chance. It was later that afternoon that Ami found out she is also Sailor Mercury (see below).
Even though she then evolved into less of a bookworm, she still consistently got the highest score on tests through the rest of her schooling at Juuban Jr. High. She is now age 16 and about to enter Juuban High School with her closest friends (Usagi, Makoto, and Minako - Rei is also one of her closest friends, but she goes to a different, private school). Ami also helped her close friends study for their high school entrance exams when they were all in their last year of junior high school.
Special Abilities Ami is extremely intelligent. As such, she always excels in her schoolwork, and can understand just about anything taught to her. For example, she is a natural at working with computers.
She is also a very good swimmer (though this is the only sport she is good at).

History as a Senshi/Villain/Knight
One day when Ami was in her second year of junior high school and attending Crystal Cram School, she was almost an unwitting victim of Sailor Moon's enemy. Unbeknownst to her, this cram school was set up by Jadeite and administered by one of his youma. Earlier this afternoon, Ami had accidentally left her floppy disk at the Crown Game Center when she was there with Usagi just before this cram school was scheduled to start. Luna then investigated this floppy disk, and found out it contained secret code to steal the energy of students using it. So Luna thought Ami was really one of the youma in disguise. At Luna's urging, Usagi burst into Ami's classroom disguised as a school nurse. When Ami scolded her for interrupting their class, Usagi transformed into Sailor Moon. Upon noticing that Sailor Moon was now there, the teacher dropped her disguise and showed herself to be the youma she really was. Grabbing Ami's head, this youma tried to capture Ami's energy by pushing her face close to the screen. But instead of the computer capturing her energy, the result was that the symbol of Mercury appeared on Ami's forehead. This convinced Luna that Ami was really also Sailor Mercury (instead of one of the enemies), so Luna created the Sailor Mercury transformation wand and rolled it to Ami. Ami then transformed and (with a little coaching from Luna) helped Sailor Moon defeat the youma.
The next time these two senshi encountered their enemy, Luna gave Sailor Mercury a mini super-computer. Sailor Mercury has used it to make calculations about enemies she is facing and situations she finds herself in; it can even find an enemy's weakness and figure out the exit from traps. Sailor Mercury has used it to help defeat several enemies and escape from multiple traps. Towards the end of Ami's second year in junior high school, Sailor Mercury was killed while fighting a powerful youma sent out by Queen Beryl herself. But she was reincarnated at the beginning of this school year after Sailor Moon defeated Queen Beryl and wished that she and all of her killed friends (a.k.a. the other senshi that had helped her) could live life in peace as regular girls.
But then a new enemy arrived in Tokyo. In an encounter with this enemy, Luna was forced to revive these girls' senshi abilities (including Ami's as Sailor Mercury). Sailor Mercury worked with the other senshi to eventually defeat this new enemy by the end of the girls' second year in junior high school. Their third year in junior high school went similarly, with another new enemy appearing at the beginning of that school year and the senshi eventually defeating them; the main difference of this last year of junior high school was that a couple new senshi appeared and the five senshi from before (including Sailor Mercury) had to figure out who they were (since the new senshi had different objectives than these five); by the end of this school year, not only was this other new enemy defeated, but the couple new senshi were shown to be allies - sometimes called the outer senshi.
RP Sample: (Note : this was my opening post in an RPG called SailorMoon NewFuture. It concerned what she did a little before going to an event planned by the moderators for 6:00pm on a Friday.)
Normally, Ami worked a full day in her doctor's office, from 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the late afternoon, with her only significant break being up to one hour for lunch, because she enjoyed her job, and she wanted to help as many patients as she could. But the next business day after she had gotten the invitation to tonight's event related to Juuban High School in her postal mail, she had made it clear to her receptionists that she could only be at her office until about 4:00 in the afternoon today, because there was no way she could get home, get ready for the formal event, and get over to the Tokyo Ballroom all in just one hour, and because she really wanted to attend it. She had two main reasons for wanting to attend it so much : because it offered the chance for her to speak to current students and encourage them to do well in their schooling so they could get a good job that they enjoyed like she had (thus helping them in her view), and because she would meet in person again as many of the other inner senshi girls as would also attend, since three of the other four would also have received an invitation to this event (sure she had always made sure to contact each of them every so often by phone and/or e-mail and/or postal mail, but it was good for friends, especially those who had been as close as they had in their last five years of schooling until graduating high school, to get together in person more often than just once in a rare while).
So after she had helped her last patient of the day as much as that patient wanted, at about 4:10 in the afternoon, Dr. Mizuno Ami wrote a summary of that patient's visit with her in the appropriate part of that patient's file, then walked over to the receptionists' area in her office. Putting this last patient's file on the pile of patient files for the receptionists to put away, she said goodbye to each of the receptionists as well as wished each of them a good weekend, then headed out of her office. Because she lived in an apartment within walking distance of her doctor's office (not to mention it was good exercise), she always walked between home and work. So anyone looking on the correct sidewalks in the Azabu-Juuban neighborhood over the next one-quarter to one-third of an hour would see a certain happy, blue-haired woman walking along them in the clothing she typically wore during her workday in the summer - a formal, business-appropriate blouse and a formal business-style skirt (this one black, like most of them) along with formal black flats (she had learned in her graduate-level schooling at Harvard that she didn't need high heels as a doctor even though she was a typically-short Japanese young woman because her patients would almost always be sitting as she examined them).
