I actually made a web page several years ago listing reasons I loved the series/why I got into it. Unfortunately, I've since lost it
. But I do remember that it being an action series about super-
heroines (as I put it) instead of male superheroes was one of the reasons. Another probably was that you get to see part of these girls' lives outside of fighting evil - especially when in school (which I actually liked when I was a kid); if I had to remake the list today, I'd certainly put that on it, because I enjoyed my high school and college years best (so I relate to these teenagers better than typically-portrayed adults). Oh yeah, another reason was the superb realistic detail in the artwork for the anime - it's so much more realistic than most American cartoons
. Another reason probably was because one of the senshi was almost exactly like me in terms of personality -
